Launched in 1978 in Spain, Mediterraneo was for almost 20 years one of the most well-known and appreciated toy brands on the country. Under the famous claim “Juguetes para Compartir” (Toys to Share), the umbrella brand embraced a large range of educational toys. Products for kids related with the Arts and Crafts, Science and other topics. Some as Quiminova, Alfanova, Micronova, etc. with a perfect balance between entertainment and education.
After years of success the brand disappeared at the end of the nineties leaving no trace until now. The company Cife relaunched Mediterraneo and they needed a brand refresh that would place them at the forefront of the educational toys category. The challenge here was to relaunch the brand actualizing the image without sacrificing its heritage and aiming the kids not like the rest of educational toys whose target are the parents.
